The word “Don” is always pronounced to rhyme with “loan”. Close immediately to the ‘n’.
Alto 2s, be careful not to speed up on page 2. Work with a metronome on the speed of the 16th notes
All Altos, don’t be rushed by the Sop 2s at the bottom of page 5
All parts - rehearse measures 37 - 58 with a recording in order to hear how all the rhythms fit together.
Pages 9 - 11 pay attention to the text to make it come to life (go to the “n” sound early in words like “dancing” and “sun”) Please do no accent the second syllable of “atoms”.
Rise Up
Starts in a 4-part split (Sop 1 on the top line, Sop 2 on the second line, Alto 1 & 2 on the bottom line)
3-part split begins at measure 25 - Sop1 & Sop 2 on the top line, Altos on the bottom line. When the Alto line splits, please split into Alto A and B (in a 3-part split)
Measure 81 (second ending at the bottom of page 10) to the end is a 4-part split.
